WHO WE ARE

The Nevada Music Educators Association is a non-profit professional association that serves and supports music education across Nevada. NMEA holds events for students to participate in, organizes professional development, and advocates on The Hill to ensure music education for all Nevadans. Membership in NMEA is open to all music educators in Nevada, from pre-kindergarten level through college, including music supervisors, and private teachers.
WHAT WE DO
Serving all music educators in the state of Nevada, the mission of the Nevada Music Educators Association is to promote music education, to ensure its inclusion in all students’ core curriculum, and to guarantee quality musical experiences for all learners.
Membership
NMEA membership provides music educators and their students benefits such as eligibility for all-state ensembles, professional development, advocacy on behalf of music education, and more. NMEA membership also includes membership in the National Association for Music Education (NAfME).
