The U.S. Army All-American Marching Band is a spectacular opportunity for rising high school seniors! The 2011 band performs this January in San Antonio. Student marching musicians should submit audition materials by April 15. Airfare, rooms, food, rehearsal attire, instruments, uniform ... all provided at no cost to the student! Learn strategies to help students successfully inflect ideas implied by musical notation. Explore emotional content and basic elements of "musical rhetoric." Sing, intone, and clap examples that illustrate teaching strategies.

GRANT DEADLINE EXTENDED
We are extending the deadline for Student Assistance Grants for the NMEA State Conference 2010. This grant is meant to assist students who do not have their travel expenses covered by their school/district. The postmark deadline is now FRIDAY, MARCH 5TH. January 5, 2010 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING 2011 AND 2012 All STATE CONFERENCES Since our September meeting the board received additional information from UNR regarding the possibility of moving our conference to their campus in 2011.
